Richard's Joinery apprenticeship journey started in the challenging times of the 2008 recession with a local kitchen specialist as a kitchen installer . He remains thankful for the opportunity extended to him by the business, which he continues to maintain strong relationships.
Over the years, his main focus has been on supplying and installing kitchens, while developing skills in various areas of Joinery and Building that you can discover on this site. There are very few weeks where Richard and his team are not fitting kitchens in the North Down / Bangor area.

We don't just install kitchen units. We handle all the necessary prep work, like extensions or wall removal. We handle everything listed below directly or work with trusted plumbers and electricians to complete the job during installation.
Fitting a new kitchen often requires more than fitting new units in the same space. Many of our customers need a new extension or have a wall removed to extend into a dining room.

If plastering is required before your new kitchen is fitted our plasterer can complete that work in a timely manner before the new units are fitted
We work with local Electricians and Plumbers who will complete their work before and during our kitchen unit installation so that your kitchen is out of use for the minimum possible time period.
Many kitchen refurbishments require some wall or floor tiling.
We will directly undertake small tiling areas and co-ordinate with our trusted tiler when large areas need tiled.
Many kitchens installations require a new floor. RK Joinery and Building can lay the perfect solid or laminate flooring.
We have the skill to perfectly fit your flooring around pipework and other awkward shapes.
